Cayton Bay

The magnificent wide sweeping bay is a magnet for summer holidaymakers, but Cayton Bay is beautiful whatever time of the year you visit.

Without doubt this spot is the Daddy of Yorkshire surfing. Large grass car park, free hot showers and changing area, and excellent surf shop. World class surf can be found here that can handle 8ft plus, best a mid to high tide, right and left hand beach break and left hand point break to the north. BEWARE lots of stand ups and one hell of a steep walk back to the car park but don’t let this put you off. This spot is one of our favourites.
