Once the capital of the 7th century Kingdom of Northumbria, it is now a seaside village dominated by the magnificent Bamburgh Castle, overlooking mile upon mile of golden sands. The sight of the castle on its rocky outcrop, 180 feet above the pretty village is simply unforgettable.
You are out in the wilderness here, lots of dolphins, seals and crystal clear water. Rocky with big rips when its firing. BE CAREFUL, handles all tides, picks up all swells.Right and left hand beach break. Use dunes car park. Skill level: Intermediate or above.
